Ciloo gives back

Ciloo’s happiness when successfully completing a project is topped off with a donation to Fundación Angeles de Mascotas, an animal shelter in Mexico.

Founder Elsa Beatriz Hernández Medina is a retired teacher who dedicates all her time to caring for stray, malnourished and injured animals. Currently, she cares for over 110 dogs and 80 older cats at her shelter (which she built using her own savings) and another 80 dogs at home. Her work centers around saving these animals, giving them all the necessary vaccinations and even paying for their surgeries as needed.

The shelter also organizes adoption days (with careful vetting of the host families), food marathons where people can donate food for the animals, and awareness campaigns in local schools.

Elsa and the Foundation rely heavily on donations from people. Caring for so many animals comes with a hefty price tag, especially when they require medical care. Elsa is now working towards having an on-site veterinary clinic and we’re proud to be contributing medical equipment to this noble initiative.
